For your convenience, here are some websites college-bound students and their families might find helpful.
College Board - Home of the SAT and Subject Tests
ACT - To register for the test or report ACT scores
FAFSA4caster - This tool allows families to get a sense of their eligibility for need-based aid. It's a great resource for parents of younger children and allows families of children at any age to predict what the impact of a change in family circumstances (like loosing a job or having more than one child in college at once) might be.
FAFSA - The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is required by all colleges that receive federal funding. Applications cannot be submitted before January 1 of the student's senior year.
HOPE Scholarship - Georgia College 411 is a great website for college-bound students and families in general and offers the most comprehensive information on HOPE eligibility.
FinAid - FinAid is your one-stop shop for information on college costs from how to start saving (it's never too late!) to how to apply for loans.
FastWeb - FastWeb offers a free scholarship application service. You'll have to deal with some advertising, of course, but the efficiency of the search compared to the 'olden days' is worth it.
